SCHOOLS

As a Head, Teacher, SENCo or Head of Inclusion in a school or nursery, you undoubtedly feel under pressure to make sure all the children you care for are able to thrive at school.

It is so important for the children themselves, as well as for the reputation of your school, and that can feel quite a responsibility!

why you need expert support

Around 7% of children aged about five years old have specific speech and language impairment and a further 1.8% have speech, language and communication needs linked to other conditions such as learning disability, cerebral palsy or autism (source: RCSLT).

Using a targeted and specialist approach, we will partner with you in order to make sure that children who need additional help have the highest chances of seeing improvements in communication and interaction.

Typically three children in every class of 30 need professional support from a Speech and Language Therapist.

Two of them may have no identified reason for their language difficulties.

As an educational professional you know that if children can receive SLT on site in their normal school or nursery setting, they are more likely to develop language skills that directly translate into improved literacy, learning and communication in the classroom.

OUR RESULTS

“Thank you so much for all your help. I couldn’t believe that 5 months ago we would get to the stage where my child would not stammer at all any more, and we are so happy.
Now they have just stopped stammering completely, it is quite incredible and we are so delighted.”
“Jenni worked with my son (age 5) over a 5 month period. He has made some great progress and we could not have been happier with the excellent communication and level of professionalism she showed throughout.”
“My son responded very well to Jenni’s friendly, fun but professional manner. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jenni as a Speech and Language Therapist.”
“The sessions were always well planned and well structured and she was clear with him about what was expected in terms of his behaviour and what they would be covering but offered plenty of incentives and fun games as rewards for working hard!”
